How did the Early Church disciple believers and train leaders? The Ephesus ministry began with only 12 disciples. They started and continued with the power of the Holy Spirit. Persecution forced them to withdraw to the school of Tyrannus where they received two years of instruction in the Word. It was so effective that all Asia heard the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ. There were also unusual miracles and a citywide deliverance from demonic influences that included the burning of satanic books. What was the result of the Ephesus Strategy? "So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed" (Acts 19:20). We believe the same thing can happen today in every place.
